Congratualtions to the Spark Film Initiative 2022 Filmmakers!

The Spark films Premiered to a full house at the iconic Deckchair Cinema on Friday 23rd September 2022. Filmmaker Caro Macdonald was the perfect host for the evening. Each team will each received $10,000 from the fund to complete a short film. Since 2017, the initiative has supported the production of 17 original short films which have premiered at DIFF, quickly becoming one of the festival’s most anticipated events. In 2022 Spark went back to its roots, returning to fiction. Darwin International Film Festival is proudly supported by the Northern Territory Government, Screen Territory, The NT Major Events Company and Screen Australia.
